Cocktail Hour: Bombay Bramble Spritz

There’s arguably nothing more synonymous with the Australian summer than your favourite spritz, coupled of course, with crisp afternoons spent lazying around with friends. But while you’re probably used to the classic combination of bubbles and Aperol, a new favourite is here to take that prized spot this season—introducing the Bombay Bramble Spritz.

Perfect for all the gin lovers out there, Bombay Sapphire has been hard at work encouraging cocktail connoisseurs and at-home bartenders to stir their creativity, which includes a fresh twist on their signature cocktail, The Bramble, a world-famous creation first released in 1984, which infuses its classic gin with bursting flavours of blackberries and raspberries.

“Much like our most popular gin, Bombay Sapphire, Bombay Bramble is a twist on the familiar and marries perfectly in a variety of cocktails and can be best enjoyed with tonic, poured over ice and garnished with a squeeze of lemon,” says Bacardi-Martini Australia Brand Ambassador, Georgina Mann. “It’s perfect for the Spring and Summer season and is a sophisticated option for those that enjoy a touch of fruit in their G&T.”

But what really sets the Bombay Bramble Spritz apart? Well, according to Mann, it’s “light, bright and refreshing,” which makes it an ideal candidate for springtime sipping.30ml Bombay Bramble
20ml fresh lemon juice
10ml honey water
Pinch of sea salt
To create the Bombay Bramble Spritz, simply build the ingredients over ice in a white wine glass, garnish with a mint sprig and grapefruit wedge, squeezed and dropped in. Voila!
